Good powerful solid Android box, this comes with 2GB of Ram and 16GB of Rom memory, if you have been trawling through a wide variety of Android boxes reading the specifications and claims getting more confused than enlightened then a few pointers may help. I would suggest looking for an Android box with a minimum of 8GB of rom (this has 16GB) and a minimum of 2GB of ram, you will find a lot of Android boxes advertised as all singing and dancing which only have 1GB of ram and this is certainly not the case with many programs now requiring a minimum of 2GB of ram for example KODI 17 and it will struggle running or even being able to install and run the latest versions of some programs.
This is a nice compact box and comes with a nice simple remote control similar in design to the FireStick remote control, some have remote controls covered in redundant buttons you have no need for, and the range is also fairly good on this remote control. The menu system on the box is Mediabox launcher which is a nice clean system which allows you to modify and add shortcuts to your favourite programs to the bottom bar of the main screen.
This Android box has Android 6.0 Marshmallow installed with two USB ports, a card reader slot, LAN Ethernet port and a SPDIF digital audio interconnect which certainly for me is everything I need and more, I found the box ran very smoothly flying through the menus and has a mass of useful programs with the latest versions and updates pre-installed and any you don’t want or use are simple to uninstall. I connected mine using the network connection but did test the WiFi on it and this works fine.
I have added a short video running through the menu system and starting a few programs which hopefully gives you a better idea of the usage, my original video is of high quality but please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded through the optimisation system but hopefully not too much. As a side note if you find the video won’t run as I often find then expand it to full size and start it then reduce the size again.
What I liked
