THORVAP 100W TC Vape Mod Kit 3200mAh Review

Good solid powerful modbox with a very effective atomizer tank, this arrived in a neat slide sided branded blue and white box with the instructions on the top and modbox, atomizer tank, spare glass for the tank, spare coil and rubber seals fitted into custom slots in the black foam with the charging cable, dust cap and replacement silicone mouthpiece in a separate black box. I like to see these coming with spare parts for the tank and replacement coil something a lot of suppliers don’t do.

The instructions are multilingual with the English being the first section, they are very clear and easy to follow with diagrams showing you exactly what you should be seeing at various stages, it also contains a FAQ sections a very helpful addition I have not seen in modbox instructions before and no doubt useful to anyone new to vaping or having issues.

After I unpacked it I changed the coil, this is something I always do with a new atomizer tank through previous experience of buying a new tank then struggling to find out how to take it apart to change the coil when it’s needed and I find it a much easier process if I already know. After doing this I put the modbox on charge and left the atomizer tank to fully soak in the juice, most recommend you leave it to soak around 5 minutes or so but I like to leave it longer.

It was time to fire it up, the modbox really is a beast, a heavy solid box as you would expect with a high capacity modbox and has a nice big ‘fire button’ which I like as it saves you struggling to find it when not looking, it starts up with 5 clicks on the fire button which seems to be the standard to turn on and off most modboxes, you enter the different modes with 3 clicks and 2 clicks changes the temperature mode from centigrade to fahrenheit or vice versa. I will say at this point if you are new to vaping don’t be daunted by all the talk of different modes, with the coil and tank supplied I would suggest not worrying about different modes etc, fit the tank, fill the tank with juice and leave it to soak in a while, hit the fire button 5 times then put it to your mouth and press the fire button and test after that just adjust the air vents on the tank to control airflow to something you like and increase or decrease the wattage with the + and – buttons until you find a vape experience you like, everything else you can explore once you are happy.

The atomizer tank delivers a very nice smooth vape experience and brings a good flavour through, I did try the alternative silicone mouthpiece but prefer the standard black one it comes fitted with, I have added a video and will also add some pictures showing unpacking, changing the coil, running through the different modes and a bit of vaping, please note my original video is of high quality but the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded through Amazon’s optimisation system but hopefully not too much. As a side note if you find the video won’t run as I often find then expand it to full size and start it then reduce the size again.

Mindkoo Crystal Clear Stereo True Wireless Earbuds Review

Great sound with sleek design, these arrived in a simple brown windowed and branded box with the instructions, spare ear pieces, double charging lead and drawstring carry bad underneath, the instructions are multilingual with English being the first section.

After opening everything up I put the earbuds on charge, there are little lift flaps on each one that conceal micro USB ports and the supplied split lead fits into each, I did try charging with a single micro USB lead I had which worked fine so if you misplace the split lead any micro USB lead will work. I gave the manual a read through, it’s simple and straight forward but clear and detailed enough the make the setup process a breeze.

The finishing of these earbuds is very nice and seems very high quality and I like the split charging lead and the little carry case is a nice addition, I started them simply by holding the power button on both earbuds and then leaving them until the paired with each other after which I searched on my phones Bluetooth connection for M-5 and hit it to connect and that was it done.

I gave these a test with some music on my phone and the quality really is superb, they fit nice and snug and after a few seconds of wearing them you forget they are there, these don’t have controls on the buds for the music apart from mute and the main control on the buds is for hands free phone calls which works really well instantly cutting the music when you get an incoming call and flawlessly switching back to music once the call has ended, the music/sound is controlled via your mobile devices options.

I have added a short video and will also add some pictures showing the unboxing, pairing the earbuds to each other and then connecting to my phones Bluetooth after which I played a bit of music and rang my phone to show the incoming call break and interrupt switching seamlessly back to music on ending the call, please note my original video is of high quality but the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded.

ABOX 1080P Two-Way Audio Wireless Wi-Fi IP Camera Review

A very nice quality versatile camera, I purchased this as a gift for my nephew and his wife who have just had their first baby and wanted something solid, easy to move about, the ability to set up on multiple devices, a good viewing range that gave high quality images both day and night vision and this seemed to fit that perfectly.

The camera arrived in a branded brown box with everything packed and protected in foam and comes with everything you need to be up and running including a network cable and DVD containing a digital copy of the manual along with a program called IPCMultiView for viewing and manipulating the camera from a desktop or laptop PC. The quick start guide manual is very comprehensive covering all the functions and features taking you step by step through the setup process with clearly marked pictures and illustrations showing you exactly what you should be seeing and doing, it’s fully in English and I found it very easy to follow.

Once I had unpacked it I had a good read through the manual and decided first of all to connect it wirelessly and installed the application onto my phone by scanning the QR code in the manual, this can also be done by just searching for P2PLiveCam on the relevant app store. After turning the camera on it ran through an initialisation process turning the camera through its angles and was then ready to connect, I searched the WiFi connection on my phone and connected the camera, once this was done I started the P2PLiveCam app and pressed to add a camera using the QR scanner to scan the QR code on the base of the camera and it was then connected and ready to test, at this point you can change the name of the camera and default password but didn’t as it can be changed at any time through the app.

Something not very apparent by the product description is this camera isn’t just a device you can view and use through your WiFi network at home, once you have the app installed you can login and view the camera from any place in the world just as long as you have an internet connection. I gave the camera a test on my balcony and it worked very well with high quality images and very easy to manipulate using the app, I then tested it using the network cable plugging it into my home network and tested the IPCMultiView application on my home PC which worked flawlessly and again very simple process to set up. I did a quick test on the night vision which I found to be superb, the area I tested it in was in total darkness and it still managed to give very clear images.

The camera has a micro SD card slot so you can record and store recordings which worked very well also giving the ability to format and set up the card from P2PLiveCam app, I tested the two way microphone this worked well and very simple to switch on and off when you want to use it.

I have added a video and will also add some pictures showing going through the unpacking, starting and connecting the camera, giving it a test both wireless and connected via a network cable, showing the PC application setup and features finishing with a bit of nigh vision, please note my original video is of high quality but the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded.

DOOPRO C1 Pro Unlocked 4G Smartphone Review

I am really pleased with this phone its exactly what I wanted and needed, it arrived in a black branded box with the addition of a UK USB charge plug, the phone was in a little plastic bag with a plastic film covering the screen which had been ready fitted with a screen protector, in the bottom it had a USB charge lead, a rubber phone cover, a spare screen protector and the instructions.

I am relatively new to using android phones and my main phone is an iphone 6, this is more of an obligation than a choice as my wife is an avid apple fan and always has to have the latest version insisting that I take her old one, I could bang on for ages on how user unfriendly the iphone is not even allowing you to set your own mp3’s as ringtones or making you jump through multiple hoops just to transfer a bit of music over but I think it’s enough to say it annoys me greatly on a daily basis.

I really needed a second phone that was far more user friendly and this seemed to fit everything I wanted, it would take a micro SD card so I could put a load of music on without the worry of running out of memory and also store and more video’s and pictures to it, it can take duel sims something I wanted mainly to keep call costs down, my wife was on the same network as myself but has switched and as I didn’t want to switch I decided the best thing I could do was get another sim on the same network she has now so as to save call costs.

After unboxing I started it up and found it to be lightning quick scrolling through the menu and options, I added a micro SD card with some music on to give that a test and added a two sim cards to test the duel call feature this worked flawlessly and I installed a nice little application called DU recorder my friend had recommended to me a while ago but of course not available on iphone so as to record live action from the phone.

I have added a video and will also add some pictures showing me unboxing it, starting it up testing various features including the duel sim call, taking some pictures and video, browsing through the menus and app store, setting up the security finger print recognition which is a really nice feature and works really well, I also like the shape recognition feature to unlock and found this far quicker than a pin code. VIVIS Natural Wooden Mini Portable Bluetooth Speaker Review

A tiny speaker that really punches above its weight, I was after a small speaker to go on my desk that looked nice but also worked well and had good solid sound quality while giving a decent volume and got this as it seemed to fit my needs perfectly.

It arrive unsurprisingly in a small wood effect flip top box with a removable branded sleeve, I mention this as I find a lot of products arrive in generic brown unbranded boxes which is fine if it’s something I am buying for myself but if you are buying something as a gift I find it a bit off putting. Inside it contained the speaker inside a protective bag and under that a charging lead and instruction manual, the manual is multilingual with English being the first language and is really simple to follow just being a case of switch it on, look for BM4 in the Bluetooth section of your device and pair then you are ready to rock and roll.

The speaker is a really nice finish wood effect with a rubber bottom containing the charging micro USB port and power button, just above the base you have a LED indicator, Bluetooth indicator and microphone which I like as they are very discreet but effective, once I had paired it up it was time to give it a test and really was surprised on how loud it went for such a small speaker and even more so the quality of the sound being totally distortion free even at the highest volume.

I tested the phone call feature and this worked flawlessly cutting the music and switching to the phone then instantly switching back to the music as soon as the call finished, I had it linked up to my iphone 6 and tested the range which seemed fine up to around 30ft after this it started to lose connection although I am never quite sure if a good range is dependent on both devices this seemed more than adequate for my needs.

I have added a video and will also add some pictures showing unpacking it then going on to link it to my phone and play a bit of music interrupted by a call to show this feature and how well it switches between music and phone call, I will add a couple of pictures showing it next to my camera lens cap and on the back of my hand which hopefully gives a better idea of size with a visual reference. Lixada Telescopic Fishing Rod and Reel Combo Full Kit Review

Really good quality nicely packaged fishing kit, every summer holidays I take my daughter fishing and we always have a great time and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who is looking for an activity for the summer break, we go down to the canal in the town we live which is ideal for an introduction to fishing and you are guaranteed to catch a few.

My daughter needed a new rod and reel and I wanted to get something personal to her so purchased this as it looked ideal with it having its own case, being nice and compact having accessories and a nice reel, it arrived well packed and protected and only took ten days to arrive including the day I ordered it.

When I opened it up I found the artificial baits really strange but in an interesting way and we will certainly be giving these a try, the real is really nice quality with a good smooth action and foldable handle, this fits nicely into the rod which comes with a handy protective cover for the end and again is really nice quality, I was a bit dubious when I ordered this as I have purchased similar before only to find the quality does not live up to the pictures and description but it certainly isn’t the case with this kit.

Once my daughter saw it she was delighted and after a lot of pestering from her I agreed to take her down to the canal for an hour to give it a quick try out and she got on with it great, I had to wind the line onto the reel which is supplied and tie the hook on but everything else she managed to do herself and caught three small Perch in just over an hour, we are planning to spend the day there next week and I am taking my GoPro with me so will reload the video with some live action.

Dodocool High Resolution MP3 Music Player Review

I purchased this for my daughter who is 10 years old and is constantly sitting on her ipad watching YouTube video’s and I wanted something to introduce her more to the joy of music but also have a greater control over content, due to some questionable video’s I caught her watching on YouTube she is not allowed her ipad in her bedroom so this is something she can use there and when she is out.

This arrived in a solid black dodocool branded box with the MP3 player packed in a rubber cut out with power/transfer lead and instructions under it, the first thing I noticed after unpacking was how solid and well finished this was with its aluminium body and extremely clear QVGA LCD screen you could feel and see the high quality.

After switching it on I linked it up to my computer and transferred some MP3’s over and also put some albums on a micro SD card as I wanted to test this feature, the transfer was fairly quick although I would think this is also dependent on the speed of your computer, USB connection and transfer rate. The menu is very easy to navigate using the wheel going through in a clockwise motion you have Now Playing, Playlist, Radio, Record, Explorer and finally Settings.

Going through the settings you have an option of an alternative interface, and in common settings you can adjust the screen saver timer and screen brightness, I did turn the brightness up a bit on this but again a personal preference and no doubt my daughter will adjust it again. There is also an option for timed shutdown and auto power off both with the option of disabling them, an option to increase the boot volume and format both the internal 8gb memory and external micro SD card.

I found the sound quality superb totally lacking any distortion even at the highest level, I tried it with a small external speaker which worked instantly and also attached my daughters headset again working flawlessly and certainly very powerful, I tested the sound recorder which came out very clear and I would think ideal if you wanted to record memos as it has a pause and continue recording feature with the mic being inbuilt into the unit.

I have added a video and will also add some pictures, in this I show unpacking, going through the menu, selecting and playing some MP3’s from the internal 8gb memory then adding a micro SD card loaded up with some albums and playing a few songs from that, I then went on to test the radio which I found to be impressively clear and easy to tune, please be aware the sound and video are crystal clear but the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded.

IMECIG® Q5s E Cigarette Vape Box Mod 80W Review

A nice slick design powerful great looking modbox, this arrived in a neat black shinny branded box with a foam insert holding the modbox, atomiser tank and a spare coil for the atomiser, under the foam insert you have the charging lead, 18650 battery and the manual.

After opening it all up and peeling off the protective film from the display screen I fitted the battery, this is a simple task made easy but the magnetic clips holding the battery cover panel so noting to unscrew or mess about with a very nice design feature, I then went on to look at the atomiser and as I always do with a new one I changed the coil, I do this so I know exactly how it comes apart and fits so I am not trying to work it out at a later date when it needs changing and has juice on it.

Changing the coil is fairly simple and straight forward and I always try and remember to prime the coil with a bit of juice which helps it absorb quickly into the cotton. The atomiser has a black metal sleeve to protect the glass tank which has cut outs so you can see how much juice you have left, the mouth piece is multi-colour something a bit different, on the bottom is the air vent adjustment and I found it easier to unscrew the atomiser from the battery a bit which made it easier to adjust then screw it back tight, not sure if this is an intended feature but I found it quite handy as it is hard to more when screwed up tight so avoids unwanted movement.

After setting it all up and filling the tank I left it to stand while and had a good read through the manual, its fully in English and gives a very good step by step guide on setting it up, features and functions along which diagrams so you know exactly what you should be looking at and getting. After leaving it for around an hour I returned to give it a test running through all the different settings and adjustments and found it gave a very smooth flavoursome vape with huge plumes of vapor, if you are new to vaping then don’t be put off by all the talk of Ti/Ss/Ni etc these are things you will at some point experiment with to try and obtain the perfect vape for you but as a newcomer to vaping you can put the battery in, fill with juice, leave to sit for a bit so the juice soaks into the coil then fire it up and start vaping adjusting the air vent and wattage until you get a vape experience you like.

Rc Stunt Car Buggy Kit By MiGoo Review

Great fun Rc Stunt Buggy that whizzes around like a mad drunk wasp, this arrived in a branded box packed in a plastic sleeve to protect it along with a little white box containing the battery and USB charge unit along with the remote control, the remote control takes two AA batteries (not supplied) and both the remote control and the battery housing on the buggy have philips head secure screws you need to remove and replace when changing the batteries.

After I had put some batteries in the remote control and fitted the buggy battery into the housing remembering to replace the holding screw it was time to take it outside and give it a whirl, the controls are very simple and each stick controls the corresponding set of wheels (left = left side of the buggy right = right side of the buggy) with forward and backward movement on each stick to control turning by moving one stick or the other depending on which way you wish to turn, both sticks forward to go straight or both back to reverse.

This is a really fast mad buggy it fly’s around and I was really surprised how much control you had spinning circles, flips, rolls and every different combination including them all, it’s very robust and I ran it all over the place crashing and banging along the way as I am really a novice when it comes to remote control vehicles. My daughter (10 years old) had a run around with it and she loved it also turning out to be far better than me at controlling it.

I have added a video and will also add some pictures showing unboxing, setting it up and then a test drive which hopefully shows you how mad and durable this buggy is with some of the tricks. ELEGIANT Aroma Diffuser With Inbuilt Bluetooth Speaker Review

Very nice design great looking aromatherapy diffuser with so much more, I have several aromatherapy diffusers round my house and wanted one for the main room but also wanted a bit more than the standard fill it up and switch it on style that don’t hold much liquid so you are always refilling them, I started looking round for something that offered a bit more with a greater capacity and decided to purchase this.

It arrived in a nice branded box with a glossy and very comprehensive manual going through every aspect of setting it up along with pictures with instructions making it very easy to follow and install the atomizer application to whatever device you choose to use, it came with a full three pin UK plug and little measuring jug inside the unit.

This is bigger than the standard aromatherapy diffuser and when I opened it up it looks a bit like a huge egg and had the plug and jug inside, after unpacking I had a read through the manual and used the QR code to put the atomizer application onto my iphone 6. I filled the unit, added a few drops of oil and then switched it on by holding the button, pairing was very simple just go to the Bluetooth wait for AUDIO to come up in your list and then connect.

I opened up the atomizer application and would say at this point I had to go to the power icon (bottom row in the middle) and refresh so it showed as connected then I started and adjusted the mist which produced a very good steady flow then went through the options adjusting colours and activating the music feature, I was really surprised how loud it could go and how clear and distortion free the sound was even at the highest volume.

I have added a video and will add some pictures showing opening it up, setting it up and connecting the atomizer application then giving it a test, you can play music from the application, the music on your phone or even load something off YouTube and play that. I have since tested the other features on the application which all seem to work as they should such as the alarm and timer system. Please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded but hopefully not too much and the original video footage is crystal clear.

RETECK Portable Handheld Car Wet And Dry Vacuum Cleaner Review

A good powerful car vac that is easy to clean, picks up liquids, is easy to empty and has with a washable filter, it arrived in a plain brown simply branded box with everything inside wrapped in plastic bags, the manual is nice, clear and easy to follow and all in English.

After opening it all up and giving the manual a quick read it was time to give it a test, I have a home plug adapter that plugs in a UK three pin plug having a car cigarette socket in the top a very useful gadget if you have anything you use in the car that also has an indoor use. I wanted to give it a full test on all aspects so I got together some coffee granules, breakfast cereal, cake sprinkles and water then plugged it into my home adapter ready to go.

The Reteck car vac picked up everything I tested it with very well, a few tips I found helpful while testing it are, after picking a bit up it helps to tip it upright so as the bigger bits fall right back into the collection unit and can’t fall back out again, when picking up water or cleaning small areas I found the smallest nozzle attachment the best thing to use as you can concentrate on a small area and with liquids it avoids drip back.

Cleaning and emptying is very simple using the quick release button on the top with the filter and filer case just pull out empty and wash all these parts, I found using a hair dryer a quick method of drying everything off nice and quickly ready to use again making sure any remaining moister was removed.

I have added a video and will add some pictures demonstrating it in use and although this works extremely well in the car I didn’t want to be trying to film in in use in the car as it’s not very practical and certainly would not show the results as well, my original video is of high quality but please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded but hopefully not too much.

Albott® 64" Aluminum Camera Camcorder Travel Tripod Review

Easy to assemble, lightweight with a very smooth action, my wife managed to break my old tripod although it’s about 10 years old and was about the same weight as a small child so really it was a good excuse to treat myself to a new one.

I needed something lightweight, quick to assemble/disassemble, had a good wide range of movement for different angles and would elevate to a good height and this fitted my needs, it arrived in a long branded box with a plastic sleeve covering it along with an instruction sheet and draw string carry case.

The first thing I noticed was how light it actually was compared to my old one and the quick release action on the legs was very smooth, the quick release plate for the camera worked well and I would note a mistake I always make when fitting it back is not folding the release bolt flat or it won’t go in properly. The fitting quick release plate has the standard fitting compatible with every camera I have ever used including the GoPro screw attachments and other 3rd party action camera attachments so not issues getting everything I own to fit in it.

The adjustments are all very easy to use and have a nice smooth action, I went through them all in my video, and whole look and feel of this tripod is very nice from the rubber feet on the bottom to the nice addition of a hook in the center to hang things from should you need to.

I have added a video unfortunately I had to cut it short due to the size limitations and originally it showed setting it up and adding my camera, trying all the angles, looking round it and then packing it all away again lasting 7:35 so showing how quick this is to assemble and disassemble but came in way over the 100mb limit, it now shows just the setup but hopefully giving a good indication of how smooth and easy this is to setup. My original video is of high quality but please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded but hopefully not too much.

ELEGIANT Foldable Wireless Bluetooth Headphones Review

Very nice looking sleek design with a great sound, I got these for my daughter as she has a habit of blasting out her music and then we go through the process of me shouting to turn it down and her not hearing me which is rinsed and repeated until I have to finally go into her bedroom to get it turned down much to her annoyance.

The arrived in a nice branded custom box folded up into a plastic insert with bags over each ear piece to protect them, included there’s a manual, a flat style charging lead and a AUX cable should you wish to hard wire them to something that is not Bluetooth enabled, the manual is very simple and straight forward guiding you through the setup, functions and features of the headphones.

These headphones are very nice looking and the folding feature works well leaving them nice and neat easy to slip in a small bag, the LCD screen is nice and clear with small icon indicators to show you which mode you are in, the ear pieces are very comfortable and with the sliders on either side they can fit the smallest to the largest head.

Setting these up was a breeze, just switch them on, go to the Bluetooth on whatever device you are using and B19 comes up then it’s just a case of selecting that and you are connected, I first tested playing a bit of music off my iphone 6 which instantly gave a nice solid sound with the highest volume being at a level I don’t think even my daughter could handle. I tested the phone call which worked well switching flawlessly between call and music without missing a beat all automatic.

I tested the radio feature and the LED shows the process as it scans through to find a channel which you can use an auto scan or manually move it to the desired channel. Taking a micro SD card is a nice feature and as with the radio you simply hold down the ‘M’ (mode) button until it goes to card mode and it starts playing, I tested the switch to next track back and forth using the buttons which also worked as it should.
