I am an avid fresh water fisherman and needed a power bank that would not only be able to charge my phones but I also needed something that would take a three pin plug so I could charge and use my laptop for more than a couple of hours. I have a small powerbank I use on my phone but it is quite old now and only gives me one and a half charges so after having a good look round I decided on this mainly because of the power capacity and it seemed the best value in this range.
The Novoo powerbank arrived in a solid branded lift top box with separate power charger, USB-C to USB cable and multi language instructions, very basic but perfectly adequate and clear. After opening it all up I fully charged it and tested the charging and if it would charge my laptop which it did perfectly, I tested a small projector I have which although I don’t take with me fishing we do use it for the children when we go camping and it worked great.
I wanted to give this a good test and it arrived just in time for my first full weekend of fishing this year and it was superb not only making my laptop last the whole weekend but also keeping my phones fully charged along with powering my little USB light when I needed it. It’s surprisingly heavy, not sure what I expected but certainly a solid unit and the quality and finishing seems really good.
I have added a few pictures and a short video I did just to show the charging and to run down the battery on my GoPro Hero5 so I could see how long it would take to charge that, just to add I am an E-cig user and it had no problems charging the battery on that either.
Overall a good solid unit, charging is really fast, it’s ideal for camping or fishing and stood up really well giving me the ability to charge my laptop and phones avoiding me having to greatly limit my use on them and for these reasons it gets full marks from me.
