My daughter can be really heavy handed with leads either yanking them out or playing while charging and stretching and breaking the lead and I have lost count of the ones she has broken, my wife tends to just lose hers and steal mine. I have purchased original replacement leads from Apple before at a cost of £25ish but worst of all they really are as cheap as they can make them so I'm paying over the top for poor quality with a very limited choice it's really annoying.
These are ideal the cord is 1.5 meters (5ft) which is great but they are also really nice quality with the wrapping to the lead very similar to the wrapping you get on old iron cables for anyone old enough to remember them and with three in the pack I can spread them round the house.
The most important question I ask when getting a lead for an Apple product is ‘Will it charge?’ as I have purchased several non-authentic leads for iphone, ipad etc only to find they won’t charge even though they claim they do, I am pleased to say this does charge as I have tested it with an ipad air, iphone 6s and an iphone 5 all charging and all on the very latest firmware updates which only updated two days ago.
