ExquizOn P8I Pico Video Projector Portable Android 7.0 Built in Review

I do several coaching and guidance seminars a year and part of this includes me using a projector, I have been struggling with an old large projector for a few years but it was time to retire it as its heavy, has a very limited menu with no Wi-Fi option, it’s noisy, the projection quality isn’t the best and it’s a real pain carrying all the leads including an extension lead due to many places not having a power point near the setup area.

I chose the ExquizOn P8I Pico due to it being small enough to slip into my case, it having a two hour plus battery life which is more than adequate for my presentation, I can use media from USB and micro SD cards via the on-board slots, it has a base Android 7 operating system which allows me to install apps and utilities and has an inbuilt Wi-Fi so can be used for streaming online content or surfing the internet.

It arrived in a lift top black branded box with the projector on top boxed up much the same as a new phone is having the HDMI lead, instructions, power supply and stand below. Although I had already seen the size dimensions it still surprised me how small it actually was and I set it up to give it a good test, the HDMI slot on the side takes a full size HDMI connection which is great as I know some have a step down to mini HDMI meaning you need an adapter. The Android menu is very clean and simple to use with a couple of preinstalled apps on the main screen and a browser.

After linking it to my Wi-Fi I tested a few of the apps and the browser all of which worked great and also tested the Eshare app something I have not used before but once installed on my iphone 6 very simple to mirror my iphone to the projector screen, I tested some live TV and found the projection quality superb with a little wheel on the side for fine focus, I linked it up to my Xbox One to test a bit of gaming and this also looked great, I hooked it up to my PC which gave me a huge screen display, very clear and usable, I tested a bit of media on USB and micro SD card as this is something I will be using when giving a seminar and it was very easy to use from the FileExplorer on the main screen and worked great.

In summary this is a great easily portable projector which is very quiet without any complicated setup that gives you over two hours playtime from the battery should you need it, the picture quality is superb and with the Android 7 operating system making it highly versatile for a multitude of different uses, I have used it for one seminar so far and worked perfectly allowing me to set it up on a desk, switch it on and away I went no hassle.

BELEEV Kick Scooter Kids 3 Wheel 4 Adjustable Scooter Review

A bright pink scooter for my niece on her 3rd birthday and she loves it, my sisters daughter is either a million miles an hour or asleep and when I asked my sister what to get her for her birthday she said something to wear her out so I thought a scooter would be ideal and am pleased to say she was delighted with it.

I set it all up for her and sent my eldest daughter out to give it a run round test and show her how to use it as it was a new experience for my niece and she would have to get used to riding it which actually only took around half an hour before she was pushing herself round on it fairly confidently. The scooter really is bright pink her favourite colour and all the wheels light up great while in motion, adjustment is very simple with it locking tightly in place with the push release holding pin and securing with the twist grip on the handle. The main handle pushes in and locks in place with another push release holding pin which is very solid.

It arrived in a nicely branded wedge shaped box with all the contents being protected with bubble wrap, the instructions book is very basic but more than adequate as the assembly is very simple and somewhat obvious, I have added a short video and will also add some pictures showing the unboxing, assembly, my daughter giving it a good test run round then I showed the wheel lights in the darks as you can’t really see them on the video from the top view.

Overall this is a nice little scooter very well made and sturdy, ideal for a small child and with the adjustable handle should last them a good few years as they grow, the wheels are nice solid rubber, the lights look great and best of all my niece loves it although I am not sure it’s wearing her out much she’s still into everything and everything at a million miles an hour :)

NETGEAR GS205-100UKS 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch Review

Easy to set up and ideal for my intended use, I have been using a Belkin version for several years but it had been playing up for a few weeks dropping connections and getting very hot so I decided it was time to change it.

I didn’t need anything too big or with masses of ports as it is just used as an extension to my smart TV, Android box, Satellite TV box and a hardwire link for plugging in my wife’s laptop when she needs a windows update or something transferring off my main desktop PC and this looked ideal. Setup is simple and just a case of plugging everything in and it’s done depending on your setup, for me it was just a case of switching out the old and in with the new.

The box is nice and compact and everything is well finished, the light indicators work as they should showing activity on each port when in use, the box has no internal fan but even after being on all day it is just warm so no issues with that, the speed seems good, solid and consistent through all ports when I gave them all a file transfer test.

I have added a short video and will also add some pictures just showing the unboxing and then plugging in all the network cables, overall I am very pleased with this purchase it is ideal for replacing my old one at a reasonable price and I would certainly recommend it.

Jelly Comb Keyboard and Mouse Set

Solid and simple wireless keyboard and mouse set, I have been using a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set now for a couple of years and it works well but has a couple of really annoying things about it for me, it has a top set of keys that can be used to control music and film DVD’s, volume controls and the power to the PC. I have no doubt many find these additional keys very useful but for me they are a real pain as I often hit the PC power button when picking it up or knocking it thus switching off the PC, the other thing that irritates me is it uses two AAA batteries in the back and if I knock it hard the cover comes off and they tumble out, I must sound really clumsy and maybe I am but decided it was time for a change.

This set looked ideal as it does not have the additional control keys on the top so no danger of accidently pressing them and it takes a single AA battery that goes under a dummy key on the top of the keyboard which slides open then locks in place also a good point to pick the keyboard up without pressing any keys. Setting it up was simple plug and play inserting the wireless dongle into a USB port on my PC and it was instantly recognised (running Windows 10).

The mouse is a simple design with a centre wheel for scrolling, fits nicely in my hand and works flawlessly, I really like the keyboard with a solid base that also has flip up plastic stands to use at an angle, good positive keys so you know the typing has registered and a neat design battery compartment in the top that becomes invisible once the battery is inserted and covered.

TYBATT AA 2800mAh Rechargeable Batteries Review

Good quality batteries with consistent power and a high mAh, I have been using rechargeable batteries for many years now but have never really fully understood the mAh and the difference between 1.2v and 1.5v with non-rechargeable batteries so before making a purchase I did a bit of research and decided on purchasing these with a good value price and high mAh. I use them in several devices and always keep a box of non-rechargeable batteries on my desk for the children’s toys as experience has taught me not to give them rechargeable as they often get thrown out with the toy when it breaks.

They arrived in a little flip top box containing the eight batteries in two separate clear plastic clip lock storage boxes quite neat for storage, these come pre-charged so two went straight into my Xbox One controller, I play every night and my daughter always plays at the weekend and this set lasted over 16 hours play before needing charging which is great as my old set only last around 6 now and a new set of non-rechargeable around 12 hours and then need throwing away.

As I said at the beginning I did a bit of research on the differences between 1.2v and 1.5v and the meaning of mAh so for anyone who is as I was and doesn’t know the mAh stands for milli Ampere hour or milli Amp hour and is a measure of the battery's energy storage capacity so the higher the mAh the longer it should last.

Non-rechargeable AA batteries normally have a 1.5v standard while AA rechargeable batteries normally have a 1.2v standard, with non-rechargeable AA batteries they start at 1.5v and make a steady decline in power and once they drop below a rate of 1.0v they cease to work depending on the device.

Rechargeable AA batteries normally have a 1.2v standard and the drop rate is different they keep at that steady power delivery rate until they are depleted giving a steadier power over an extended period, you can find some products need an initial delivery rate above 1.2v and rechargeable batteries will not work in such devices, I hope this is makes sense to anyone who didn’t know.

AOOE Portable Waterproof Shower Speaker Review

Ideal little waterproof speaker for the shower, I wanted a small waterproof Bluetooth speaker for the bathroom shower exclusively that wasn’t going to cost me silly money but would still deliver a good sound and after a lot of searching this looked ideal.

It arrived in a branded blue and white box with the speaker, a micro USB charge lead and a simple but clear and easy set of usage instructions. After giving it a full charge I held the power button until it flashed then went to the Bluetooth on my Android phone and Q50 was showing up then it was a simple case of selecting that and it was connected, the volume is more than adequate for the bathroom and nice and clear even at the highest setting.

It’s been given a good test now in the shower and it gets a good soaking every time without any issues, the suction cup works very well being able to position it any place I want on the tiles and I always take it down after use as I am not sure it would stay in place permanently, the battery is good and charging it only takes a couple of hours for a full charge with the micro USB connection being on the bottom while it is hanging and a good solid rubber seal so no chance of any water getting in.

I tested the phone feature which works well but not something I will use as if I am in the shower they can wait :) skipping tracks works well with good solid buttons and a good range so I can leave my phone in the other room and it still keeps a good solid connection. I have added a video and will also add some pictures just showing going through connecting it up, playing a bit of music and skipping through tracks.

Warlock® Z Vape Box 233W Huge Vapour E Cigarette Mod Box Review

Good solid powerful modbox for the experienced user, I have been vaping now since the early beginning and have progressed from the first simple pen type to now having a lot of mod boxes and atomisers, I always justify getting a new modbox first of all by the massive amount of money I am not spending on cigarettes anymore and I have been mixing my own juice for over 5 years now and save a lot on that so compared to smoking it’s a cheap purchase. I wanted a heavy duty modbox for daily use that would take two batteries and I purchased a couple of 18650 3.7V 3500mAh at the same time.

It arrived in a black sleeved and branded lift top box opening up to the Warlock Z Vape being on top in a foam cut out and the micro USB charger lead and instructions under this, after unboxing it all I fitted the batteries and put the modbox on charge, I like the fact the micro USB charge connection is on the front of the modbox rather than on the bottom as with quite a lot which means you have to lie them down on their side to charge and if you have a slight leak in your tank it makes a mess, the modbox does not allow charge through vaping meaning you can’t vape and charge at the same time but not a big deal for me as I have other modboxes.

I had a good read through the manual and most of the settings are fairly standard to modboxes such as 5 clicks to turn it on and off and 3 clicks to cycle through the menu, it has a feature to flip the screen and lock the modbox, the feel of it is very nice with the cowhide material and I found the screen nice and clear with the menu very easy to navigate and solid buttons, I liked that you can slightly adjust with a short press on the plus or minus or cycle quickly by holding either button.

I gave it a good test with several of my atomisers and a RDA tank something I don’t use very often and think my next purchase should be a good RDA tank as I want to start using them more but need to research before I purchase as the one I have I don’t really get on with. The modbox delivers a good steady and consistent power stream and found it performed really well on all the atomisers I tried, the batteries (not supplied) lasted around two days of vaping but that’s for me and not really a guide as everyone vapes differently.

Simple to use with a good clear sharp display, I wanted a DVD player for my children for their collection of films but also wanted something portable that could be taken on trips to keep them entertained on the journey, play a multitude of media types through disk, USB and SD card and this fitted perfectly.

It arrived in a Naviskauto branded blue box well protected packed into inflated plastic padding with a box on the top containing the leads and remote control, after unpacking it I set it on charge and had a good read through the manual which I found to be very easy to follow giving good clear instructions backed up with pictures and illustrations with links to functions and features giving a good visual of what you should be seeing or doing.

Once it had charged I put the batteries in the remote control and tested out all the features working as they should, I tested it with a USB stick containing some footage from my action camera which worked perfectly, I was really pleased with the sharp and crisp picture and the swivel works really well being able to rotate and tip the screen into any desired angle, I then tested a SD card with some TV shows again working perfectly with no issues such as stuttering or delay what so ever, finally I tested a DVD film which worked perfectly. I have added a video showing the different media I tested and will also add some pictures

Overall I found this to be exactly what I wanted, the children love it and we have taken it in the car on a recent trip we made and it kept them nice and quiet watching a film, it comes with a cigarette adapter for the car should you need it but I did find the four hour battery claim to be just about spot on running for just short of 4 hours before the battery gave up. The display is crystal clear and I found it took no time at all from inserting the media to playing it, the remote control works well and was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and how loud it would go without any distortion.
