EZVIZ C6T Mini 360 Plus 1080P Wireless IP Camera Review

A very nice smooth home security with great support from mobile and PC applications, the camera arrived in a compact branded slip top box with a protective plastic film over the top, beneath the camera it had the manual, USB power cable with a UK plug adapter and a fitting plate with screws should you wish to mount the camera in a permanent position.

The manual is very clear and easy to follow taking you step by step through the setting up of the camera, everything in this process has been kept as simple and hassle free as possible right down to registering the camera by scanning a QR code to holding your mobile device in distance to link it when connecting wirelessly.

After installing the EZVIZ application on my iPhone 6 and also installed the EZVIZ application on my PC it was time to set the camera up, the process is very straight forward and the instructions make it painless. I decided to connect this camera to my network wirelessly although it has a network connection socket should you chose to hard wire connect it and I have since checked connecting it with a network cable and the connection is instant without any issues. In my video I ran through the connection process live which hopefully shows how simple it is.

Once connected I fully tested the movement and camera manipulation via the EZVIZ phone and PC applications, the movement is very smooth and fluid panning through the 360° panoramic and 180° vertical views, I took some snap shots via the phone application and also tested the zoom feature which worked well going to eight times zoom.

I tested the smart motion tracking by walking past the camera and was surprised how well this worked and tracked my movements back and forth, I turned on the alerts which not only notified me of movement but also highlighted the point in the recording making it very easy to skip to that section and watch it back. I fitted a micro SD card into the slot at the back and formatted it via the EZVIZ application, this takes a few minutes to do but I presume it is building the file structure and made it easy to play back through recordings via my phone or PC.

I have added a video and will add some additional pictures, this shows opening it up, going through the setup process, testing the panning of the camera, taking a snapshot, testing the zoom feature then going on to show some live recording captured from the application on my PC as a test out of the window, I then went on to test the night vision setting it up in my hall which has no windows so I was able to give it a test in total darkness and must say the results are very impressive. Please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded but hopefully not too much and the original video footage is crystal clear.

ELEGIANT Hip-Hop Portable Bluetooth Speaker Review

Good fun wireless Hip-Hop speaker with a great sound, the speaker arrived in a glossy black branded box solidly packed into ridged black foam cut outs top and bottom with a sleeve covering the speaker, it had a box at the bottom containing the 3.5mm Audio Line and micro USB charging lead with the instructions slipped inside.

The instruction manual is a nice little glossy booklet, very clear and easy to follow with linked illustrations giving a full rundown on the functions and features, I found the setup very simple just switch the speaker on, look for Hip-Hop in your devices Bluetooth list and hit to pair then the speaker lights flicker, you get a short audio notification and you are connected.

The Bluetooth range say’s 10 meters but I actually took my phone to around 15 meters before I started to get any sound drop off, I started off playing a bit of music off YouTube which worked really well giving a really superb sound without any distortion even at the highest volume, I tested the incoming call feature that also works flawlessly pausing the music and instantly restarting as soon as the call finished.

The touch controls on the top work well and leave the top nice and smooth so no sticking out buttons, the lights are nice and bright with five display modes and a setting for solid nightlight, very effective having the lights dancing to the music my daughter loved it :). I put the audio line into my computer just to test and that plays fine from the computer even giving the ability to have track control from the buttons on the top.

I have added a video and will also add some pictures going through the unboxing then showing connecting it up and playing a bit of music off YouTube, sorry if it was a bit fiddly as I wanted to have the lights down low to show the Hip-Hop lights and couldn’t see what I was doing very well, please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded.

Pack of Ten Wind Up Toys By Little Rock Review

Having already purchased some clockwork toys for my youngest daughter (21 months) she is really obsessed with them I thought I would get a collection rather than paying anything up to £5 for a single one and this seemed an ideal pack with 10 random toys for £14.95 (at the time of ordering)

They all arrived with a little tag attached giving warnings in various languages that they are not suitable for children under three years old but as my daughter will always be using these under supervision this was not an issue, they are all nice and bright colours and well finished without any rough edges.

After taking all the tags off my daughter had just awoken from her afternoon nap and was absolutely delighted to see them and we spent the next hour winding and re-winding each toy as she danced with the robots, ran after the snake and crocodile having great fun and I finally succumbed to winders thumb and they had to go back in the box much to my daughters annoyance.

They all worked well although her elder sister did manage to overwind the Cow one despite my warnings about over winding so that one has unfortunately now gone to ‘Robot Heaven’. The only real issue I had was although the stand-up dancing ones look great they really don’t last long enough on a single wind and by the time you wind one up the other has stopped.

I have added a short video showing each one tested and will add some pictures, sorry about the quality but it does degrade during upload and optimisation. As a side note if you find the video won’t run as I often find then expand it to full size and start it then reduce the size again.

Overall this is a really nice collection of clockwork toys working out at about £1.50 each and my daughter really loves them, I have given them four stars, I would have given five if it wasn’t for the stand-up robots just not lasting very long on a single wind. Zclever 720P HD Home Security Wireless Camera Review

Very nice neat wireless security camera, this arrived in a branded white box around the same size as a child’s shoe box well packed and protected in foam, it comes with a travel adaptor this is just an addition as the power lead has a full UK standard three pin plug, it also comes with a bracket and fixing screws should you wish to mount the camera.

The manual is glossy and all in English, it has a very easy to follow walkthrough of setting up the camera starting off helping you get the accompanying application ‘LiveYes’ and including images all along the way showing exactly what you should be seeing and entering, I found this very helpful and made setting it up a breeze, I found the audio signal connection to the phone (iPhone 6) was a nice touch and connected the phone without issue.

After going through the application and adding a micro SD card into the slot in the back I used the smart add to activate the camera and that was it all up and running, I used the wireless to connect it but have since tested it with a network cable and this also works flawlessly.

The camera can be controlled from the LiveYes application and simple swipes on the screen rotate the camera in any direction giving you 350 degrees on the vertical angle and 80 degrees on the horizontal which gave me full coverage of my main room. It also has a multitude of options and features and settings which all work very well and made any changes instantly.

I tested the 2 way audio which works well, the alarm system is really easy to set up and not only worked well it also has three different methods of receiving the alarm, I would suggest though only setting this if it is being used as a security camera or you will get constant notifications but as it can be switched on and off it would be ideal for night security. The night vision really impressed me as I wasn’t really expecting it to be as good as it was but even in near total darkness it gave very clear images.

I have added a video and will add some images showing the unboxing of the camera, linking it up and testing the rotation system, I have also added a bit of live footage from my balcony mainly showing the movement features as the video quality will degrade considerably once uploaded due to the optimisation system. The video quality although only going to a maximum of 720P HD is very clear and more than adequate for my intended use.

Upgraded AUTO-VOX WiFi Dash Cam D6 Pro FHD 1080P Review

Great quality discreet dash cam with some nice features, some people including my wife want a dash cam with a screen on all the time but I will always switch the screen off as I find it distracting and just leave it to do its job, I also prefer one that is more discreet and tucked away either behind the rear view mirror or over the other side of the screen. This dash cam offers both with the ability to control it from your mobile you can have the mobile in a holder and it connects directly via WiFi giving full display and control on your phone screen.

It arrived in a compact branded box well packed and protected with foam and a removable plastic cover over the lens, it comes with a two port USB cigarette adaptor and the power lead has a USB connection on the end which I find far better than a lot you get which have the lead moulded into the cigarette adaptor meaning you are limited to having to use that rather than a multi-port adaptor.

The instructions are very clear and easy to follow also having diagrams to assist and after downloading the Auto-vox application to my iPhone 6 and putting a micro SD card in it was time to give it a test, I placed it at the top of my windscreen on the passenger’s side, it can be placed either way up so you can have it stuck on the dashboard as well if that is your preference. The application is packed full of adjustments and features and allows you to format the micro SD card so not need to remove it to do so, the application also includes a very useful section ‘ME’ with a very good FAQ including a Q&A section should you need it.

The quality is really clear and gesture sensor works really well just moving your hand near to the dash cam to take a snapshot, I tested the G-sensor with some hard braking which worked perfectly. The sound quality is very clear although I have removed it from my video as I am sure you wouldn't want to hear that than my wife telling me how we need more eggs and could I pop into the shop on the way home.

I have added a video of unpacking and driving both day and night and will also add some pictures including one of it next to my iPhone 6 which hopefully gives you a better idea of the size of the dash cam, please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded.

ELEGIANT Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker Review

Great sounding solid speaker, this arrived in a yellow custom made display box which included the charging lead, audio aux cable should you wish to hard wire it to something, the instruction manual and a neat little carry case.

After opening it up it has a nice rubber feel to it being nice and solid when set down on a surface, the charge port, card slot and aux port are concealed behind a waterproof flap in the top of the speaker, there are volume and phone controls on the front and the main power button is situated on the base, the manual is very clear and easy to follow also giving diagrams when needed to assist.

It was time to give it a go, once turned on it had an audio notification saying ‘Bluetooth mode’ you can then pair it with the device you are using through your settings, this is fully explained in the manual and is a very quick and simple process also giving you an audio notification telling you it has paired then you are ready to stream whatever music or audio you want from the paired device, I linked it to my iPhone 6 and played a bit of music off YouTube just as a test and found the sound to be superb without any distortion even at the highest volume.

I tested the micro SD card reader on it with some MP3’s which worked really well and also tested the ability to take a phone call which was also a flawless process pausing the audio when the call came and switching straight back to the audio once the call finished. The range seems really good, I took it up to 20ft and didn’t have any drop off of signal.

I have added a video and will add some pictures showing the opening up then setting up of the speaker, I also showed the incoming call feature and finished off the video dumping the speaker in a bath of water and spraying it with the shower to test the waterproof feature which works great. LoVaper® E Cigarette TC 60W Full Vape Box Mod Kit Review

This is a really nice modbox with enough adjustments to get an almost perfect vape coming with a good solid tank to deliver it. This arrived in a very nice branded slide side box containing the normal micro USB charging lead and a replacement filter, it also comes with a spare tank glass and rubber, silicone dust/drip cap and replacement/alternative mouth piece extras you don’t always get.

The Manual is nice and clear giving easy to follow instructions accompanied by diagrams when needed to assist, changing the filter is a fairly simple task and the tank is top filling, not all tanks are top filling and this is certainly something to look for in a tank as it makes the task so much easier, the tank has a sliding vent at the bottom to adjust airflow with a good range so you can go from closed to a huge amount of airflow.

The LoVaper modbox is long and slim with a very nice design, the main power button is a good size something I always look for as I don’t want to mess about trying to find it when I use it, it has a 2200mah battery which is a good size and gives several hours vaping without problem. It has several different settings all very easy to navigate and well detailed in the manual. It has a HD OLED Screen meaning the display is nice, clear and easy to see.

If you are new to vaping don’t be put off by all the different modes and settings I know some people find it daunting when vapers start banging on about wattage and modes but this is something you find for yourself adjusting and tinkering to find the perfect vape. If this is your first modbox to start you charge it, fill the tank with liquid, power it on and give it a try then adjust the airflow vent on the bottom for your airflow preference everything else you do or adjust is up to you to help create the best vaping experience.

This is a good solid modbox and I really like the tank on it giving a very nice vape really bringing through the flavour of the juice along with giving huge plumes of vapour, the adjustments on the modbox are very easy to navigate and I switched it through and tested all the modes and they all worked as they should.

I have added a video and will also be adding some pictures showing opening up the box and contents then changing the filter, this is something I have added due to my own experience of buying a tank and then not knowing how to change the filter when I need to so hopefully this helps someone. I then went through the menu system and finally gave it a couple of vapes, just as a note I let the juice sit in the tank for about 30 mins before I filmed it being used. Inateck Transparent Wireless Bluetooth 4.2 Speaker Review

What a surprise, I expected by the specifications this would be loud but it goes REALLY LOUD. I wanted this for the living room so went for something that would hopefully fill the room with sound with no distortion and also look good, I wasn’t disappointed.

This arrived in a neat little branded box with foam packing nice and protected with a small glossy manual very easy to read and follow, it comes with a USB charging lead and audio cable should you wish to hard wire connect it, the cables are really nice and a good indication of the attention to detail and quality from start to finish, they are weaved metal cable and look really nice matching the brushed silver base of the speaker rather than the generic black cables you normally get.

The look and feel of this speaker is really nice having a misty crystal top with the floating speakers really standing out against the brushed silver base, the inset power button on the front lighting up with a tiny blue LED is a nice touch and all the other controls and charging port are located on the back. The speaker has a good weight to it and is nice and solid with rubber pads at either end of the base.

After unpacking it I fired it up by holding the power button for three seconds and then paired it to the Bluetooth on my phone, this could not have been easier a very simple process taking only seconds to do, for a small speaker I was amazed at the punch it packed going to full volume without a hint of distortion and you can feel the air flowing through the outlet on the back.

IJOY ® Hugh 100W E Cigarette Vape Mod Box Kit

For ages I wanted to try a RDA (Rebuildable Drip Atomizer) RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) and finally got a RDA, while it gave a great vape I found it extremely difficult to build/re-build and also found I was constantly filling it so when I saw this RTDA (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizer) and noticed you could buy the pre-made vapor atomizer coil head so decided this was my opportunity to try this form of vaping again.

This arrived in a nice compact sleeved and branded box, once opened the mod was fitted into a foam cut out with the instructions and under this it contained a charging lead, small screwdriver and a mod rebuild kit which I may have a go at building but as I have already mentioned I struggle with these and have already purchased a pack of ready-made ones so may not.

The instructions are good, clear and easy to understand having a full English section at the start rather than mixed languages on the one page something I often find frustrating, I put the modbox on charge and had a good read through the manual, I have been vaping now for over 5 years so I fully understand all the different modes and settings but if you don’t then Google is your friend with a masses of information going into great detail which will help you set it up to your own preferences.

It was time to give it a test, I first changed the coil something I always do to familiarise myself with the process as I have found in the past when I haven’t looked how to change the coil it becomes painful trying different things while getting juice on your hands. It was time to give it a test and instantly found it really brought through the flavour of the juice and was really intense, a lot of the reason I wanted to use an RDA in the first place, it also gave great plumes of vapour.

The modbox is really solid, a nice design and has the charging port in the front of the box meaning you can stand it up while charging, it might seem a small detail but I find this a really good feature that also helps avoids leaks, it has a nice big fire button so no struggling to find it when not looking at it, there is a little window on the back of the modbox so you can see the juice level another nice feature avoiding having to open it up and peer into the hole.

Oukitel K6000 Plus Unlocked 4G Smartphone

I decided it was time to ditch my iPhone, while the iPhone works well enough I always feel like I am being controlled and restricted at every move with limitations being there purely to monopolise my custom rather than to protect or give me greater control and don’t even get me started on how bloated and unfriendly iTunes is.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this as there were several things I wanted/needed, I wanted a fast interface, plenty of memory with the ability to fit extra storage space with a micro SD card, finger print recognition a great feature on most new phones now, I wanted a good quality camera for video and snaps, decent battery life, I wanted something the same size as I already had as I am used to the screen size now (iphone 6), something that could be used with duel sim having an auto switch type feature so it would ring instantly on either sim, the Oukitel K6000 Plus had all this and anything else would be a bonus.

The phone arrived in a solid orange box well protected and already fitted with a rubber protective case, a USB adapter cable so I could plug in USB devices something I longed to do on the iphone but they wouldn’t allow it, and charge cable with a myACT fast charger plug in a separate box with a UK plug, a basic manual, spare screen protector and a sim removal pin. The phone looks really sleek with an aluminium back and the front glass being ever so slightly bevelled towards the edges and around the same weight as an iPhone 6 maybe slightly heavier but hardly noticeable.

It was time to fire it up, the first start up took me through the setup all very easy to follow and a lot of options I just skipped as I would be adding them later and first wanted to give it a good test with the duel sim and using a micro SD card. The interface is really clear and very responsive and it hasn’t been overloaded with apps so I didn’t have to spend ages removing things I didn’t use or would never use.

I have added a video running through the first start-up, adding two sims and testing them, adding a micro SD card and testing that by running a bit of video off it, I also tested a few other things and had to slightly speed the video up to get it down to the size limitations, please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded but hopefully not too much.

I set up the Fingerprint Sensor very simple process and this not only works instantly it’s mega fast and I have yet to have a fail, you just have to rest your finger or thumb on the start button not press and that’s it, I have set it up for both my thumbs which saves switching hands if you are holding it in your fingerprint hand.

I tested the cameras both front and back and am really pleased with the quality of both video and pictures, I really liked the clarity of the FHD (Full High Definition) screen, really sharp and crisp as was the playback quality of the video. The battery life is superb and is a welcome change from my iPhone which needs charging twice a day, the charging is nice and quick using a fast charger and you also have an estimated remaining battery life statistic in the settings.

DBPOWER WIFI Sport Action Camera

This is a really nice action camera that delivers great footage, it arrived in a nice branded box opening up to a really neat looking zip case that holds everything, inside it had a glossy quick start guide along with a very comprehensive manual listing all the features and settings walking you through the setting up and a QR code to get the iSmart DV phone application the action camera can link to. The manual was full of diagrams and images showing the functions, features and different attachments with uses.

I put the camera on charge while I read through the manual then installed the phone application to my iPhone 6, after the camera had a full charge I connected it to my phone through the WiFi a very simple process and fully detailed in the manual, you can change most of the settings through the application along with control the camera, it’s well laid out and nice and simple to navigate.

I wanted to give the camera a really good test so set it up on my daughters scooter using one of the attachments and asked her to have a run round the block with it this gave some nice clear footage, I then wanted to test it as a helmet camera so used the camera mount detailed in the manual along with the little remote switch which worked really well for turning the camera on and off removing the need to use the app or try and find the button without taking the helmet off.

Finally I wanted to test the waterproof case so put a few things in the kitchen sink to film and filled the sink with water while putting the camera under the water and moving it round, this worked really well the case was totally waterproof.

You can use this camera with or without the phone application depending on your preference, I have added a video showing the tests I have described also ending with going through the menu on the camera and will add some additional pictures. Please be aware the video quality degrades considerable when uploaded and the video is more to show what it can do rather than video quality which is superb.

GooBang Doo ABOX T22 2000 Lumens LCD Mini Projector

This is the first projector I have owned so am very much a novice starting from a point of no knowledge. This arrived in a nice branded box all packed and protected in foam, the first thing I did was take the manual out and have a good read through before setting anything up. The manual is glossy, very clear and easy to follow giving identified illustrations linked to full descriptions of functions and features walking you through the setup and is fully in English without the annoying and confusing mixed language on a single page.

When I unpacked it the projector unit looks very nice with a remote control and also having silver control buttons on the top of the unit, I decided to give it a test by setting it up in the bedroom which has a good clean blank wall and put a few video clips, pictures and some MP3’s onto a USB stick along with moving my Android box to use as a HDMI source.

The projector is nice light and compact with a removable cover for the lens and an adjustment screw that goes in the bottom to raise and lower the angle, when switched on you adjust the angle, screen size and focus with two wheels located behind the lens, this is easy enough and does not take long at all.

I had plugged in the Android box and USB stick ready so it was a simple case of then navigating the menu and selecting the source starting with the Android box, there is nothing difficult here and you can return to the main menu at any time and select another source, I had the projected screen size at around 65” for the test and didn’t set it up to my Satellite TV box or Xbox One but have since done so and it works great.

I have added a video and will add some pictures, in my ignorance I placed the camera to record the footage on the top of the projector and have cut the sound from the video due to the hum of the fans being present, I didn’t notice the sound of the fan when using it but now realise having the camera right on top of it was a mistake and the projector is actually very quiet. Please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded and I found recording the projection does not really show the great quality as it should in the same way recording a TV doesn’t so the video is more to show the menu system and process rather than the quality which was great. As a side note if you find the video won’t run as I often find then expand it to full size and start it then reduce the size again.
