ELEGIANT USB 3.0 Hub With 8 Ports

This is a really nice and effective USB 3.0 Hub, I wanted a USB 3.0 hub to put on the top of my computer but with a lead long enough to reach the USB ports at the back of the computer, this was ideal with eight ports and a lead that reaches right to the back allowing me to have the USB hub on top of my desktop PC box rather than running from the USB 3.0 port on the front which I have been doing with a much smaller HUB.

This USB 3.0 Hub has some really nice features, the unit has the ability to connect an external power supply which is provided so you can increase the power supply to the unit so you can attach heavy power consuming USB chargeable units and get a good steady power supply increasing the charge time taken or use this unit as a standalone charge unit for USB devices.

Each USB 3.0 port has an on/off switch with a blue LED indicator so you can not only have just the ports in use switched on you can easily see which ports you are using, the power button switches on with a single press and turns off by holding down the button for a few seconds, a nice feature that avoids accidentally switching a USB port off.

I ran a test on each port checking the transfer rate using a couple of free programs (CrystalDiskMark and FlashBench), first I put a micro SD card into a USB 3.0 card reader and plugged it directly into the USB 3.0 port on my desktop PC to get a speed reading from a direct connection as a benchmark, I then plugged in the USB 3.0 hub and repeated the same process on each port of the USB hub with the card reader and micro SD card and found no loss of speed either read or write on the card and got virtually the same scale of results with very little variant.

• USB3.0 7-Port High-Speed HUB, each interface transfer speed up to 5Gb / s (10 times faster than USB 2.0), backward compatible with USB 2.0 / 1.1 / 1.0 .; A charge port will charge your Android phone / iPad / iPhone.
• Each port is individually switchable, for an effective power management, saving energy and environmental protection. With 60CM long USB3.0 data cable, easy to carry and easy to use.
• Multi-Band 1 USB intelligent charging port, built-in 2A / 1A automatic adjustment chip, according to the need for smart phones and other equipment control large / small power supply.
• Reserved for external power connection, when using a large USB device, can be connected to an external power supply at any time to increase the power supply.
• System requirements: Windows Win95 / 98 / Me / 2000XP / Vista / 7/8/10, Linux2.4andMac OS8.5 and higher. Ideal if you need extra port to connect additional USB devices, it support multiple devices, including scanners, printers, digital cameras, camcorders, speakers, mice, keyboards, external drives, MP3 players and more!

Dodocool USB-C Hub Type C Charger with Power Delivery

Very useful compact designed hub that gives you the addition of three super speed USB ports, a type-c charging port, a HDMI output port, a VGA port and a RJ-45 Ethernet port, the USB ports allow three simultaneous connections of USB-A devices to with a transfer rate of up to 5 gigabytes per second and is also backwardly compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. The USB-C port allows you to use this hub while also charging your device which means it can remain plugged in without the worry of running low on power.

I gave this a good test with several USB devices all working flawlessly and when testing data transfer it was extremely fast, I tested a mouse which worked perfectly as expected, I would note due to the this is not good for charging devices such as phones or larger power consumption devices but it really isn’t its purpose so not really a negative more an observation.

I tested both the HDMI HD output and the VGA output both displaying perfectly both streaming and mirror display to a monitor and without the need to install drivers extremely easy to set up.
